The line that hit me most...Reflecting on Gandhi’s experiences in leading the Indian independence movement, I couldn’t help but notice some parallels between his concept of “satyagraha” and A Course in Miracles. I have searched for common threads between all human beings since my twenties (now to old to tell you!). I have concentrated on the spiritual connections which I see as threads in a very omnipotently made tapestry. Well written!
I fully agree with the statement that “violence will only forment future violence.” If only people would realize the nonviolence doesn’t solve a problem. That it is not being weak or cowardly. That what we need to do as Gandhi says is to engage in other modes.
A valid question to ask would then be, "Did Gandhi wake up from his dream of being a human being walking around in the world, and realize he is the Christ?" I mean, whatever we talk about, we are always talking about the illusion versus the Truth, right?
Good question. I don't know if we can ever fully know the answer. Perhaps he was having the experience of a human being while recognizing the divinity within.
Well, it is certainly true that we cannot ask him anymore, so we won't know. It is inspiring to see people act in a loving way in the world, and at the same time, it is very easy for anyone to get totally caught up in the "good versus bad" of the world, rather than transcending it all. I hope he did not fall into this trap, because only improving an illusion is, as I understand it, not the path to God. Have a blessed day!
"Our job is not to dehumanize or demonize another. Our job is to love as God loves us and to see one another as God sees us."
This is what all of my writing has been about lately.
Amen. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah!
